The Mothers' Union
The web site of the Mothers' Union from where you can subscribe to monthly newsletters and generally learn more about the Mothers' Union. Not a collection of elderly ladies knitting in the corners of the Church, to use Dr George Carey's memorable though perhaps unfortunate phrase describing the C of E, the Mothers' Union is one of the most effective arms of the Church with its practical aid for prisoners, the poor and the disadvantaged. It is a pity so few people aeem to know about all their hard work for God and his less fortunate children. Link to this site - and spread the word!
The Diocese of York
All about our Diocese including extensive news pages and other information of interest
The Church of England
A comprehensive guide to the Church of England with items of news, papers on what the Church of England believes (you might be surprised!) and more. Well worth a visit
York Minster
... and this is our cathedral. Very beautiful it is, too. York Minster has always been and remains a place of worship, but check in here as well for news of high-quality lectures, concerts and the like in addition to divine worship. It might be forced to charge admission these days, but well worth a visit anytime you're in Yor
Christians on the Internet
Formed to promote the best use of the Internet for and among Christians of all denominations, Christians on the Internet (COIN) is a lively group! Join one of our discussion groups - general, Church if England, technical, music, preaching: there's something for everyone - to get a real flavour of the nature of Christians talking together ecumenically, freely, often humorously, but always to the greater glory of Go
